A Montessori Teaching Certificate
for ages 2-7 years will be awarded by Roston Montessori Institute for Teacher Training to students who successfully complete all phases of the Montessori Teacher Training program. This includes, but is not limited to the following:

Attendance at lectures and labs

Development and maintenance of curriculum manuals

Five written papers on Montessori theory & philosophy

Student made materials for leadership/classroom management, practical life, sensorial, language, math and cultural subjects

Presenting materials during practice sessions

Preparation & presentation of original lessons

Written observation reports
-
Oral, practical and written examinations
-
Compilation and organization of Montessori albums
-
12 ECE units from an accredited institution

Duration of RMITT Course
Overview:
The RMITT course will run over a 10-month period (September through June) and will be broken up into six units: Intro/Theory/Class Management, Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math and Cultural. Each unit will extend over a six week period and will require attendance Monday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Intro/Theory/Class Management: September--Mid October
Practical Life: Mid October--November
Sensorial: December--January
Language: February--Mid March
Math: Mid March--1st week in May
Cultural: 2nd week in May--June
